Mitchell County Conservation Board meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month; 7:00pm at the Milton R. Owen Nature Center, 18793 Hwy 9, Osage, IA 50461.

The nature center is home to several displays of wildlife mounts, such as otter, coyote, birds of prey, wild turkey, great blue heron, pheasant and area fish, such as northern pike, bass and walleye. An aquarium of live fish, found in Mitchell County, and a live working bee hive are the newest additions.
